RAIN
It’s pouring outside
My girl drinks hot chocolate
The plants dance with joy!
Haiku is “a Japanese poem of seventeen syllables, in three lines of five, seven, and five, traditionally evoking images of the natural world.”
It is fun to write, a great stress-reliever, and it exercises the creative side of our brain.
In case you are wondering, yes, I wrote the poem above! I was inspired to write one after reading a post called “575 Haiku Place” from Zen and the Art of Everyday Living
If you want to enjoy reading more Haiku, I recommend you visit 575 Haiku Place
Try it out and let me know how it goes. 🙂
Thank you Richard for letting me share this.

I actually did about a week ago! I’m starting poetry in general but it’s really hard right now. My thoughts are all convoluted and it takes me forever to organize them and come up with something. Here’s a link to my first haiku though!
