3-Day Quote Challenge: DAY 3

Hello Everyone!

This is the final day for my 3-Day Quote Challenge and again, I would like to say  thank you to  # Age of Aquarius and Eva of Why  Not Happy Blog for asking me to do this challenge. I had a blast!

Will Smith is not just one of my favorite actors. He is also one of my favorite people in the world, and perhaps you’ll like him too when you read his fantastic quotes. 🙂

Will Smith Quote 3.JPG

I like this one very much. For me, this is so true. Whether we admit it or not, aware or unaware, we are using “being realistic” as an excuse not to try, or go beyond what already is. If this is your mentality, then you’ll be stuck in the safe zone. You will never maximize your potential. You are putting limitation to what you could achieve. You will just be, well, ordinary.

Will Smith Quote 2.JPG

It’s very obvious in my other posts that I am a firm believer of this one. We are what we think. So if we’re thinking that we “can not” from the start, then we will fail. The game is over before it has even begun. It’s kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy. Believing is important because it will keep us going no matter what.

Will Smith Quote 1.JPG

I could not agree more to what Will is saying here. Hate for me keeps us imprisoned. As a matter of fact, it does more damages to us instead of the person we’re hating. If they do not care how you feel, it really doesn’t matter how much you loathe them. But you do suffer- emotionally, mentally and physically. Having negative emotions toward someone is stressful, and stress causes a lot of chronic diseases. I believe that we reap what we sow. When people do bad things to others, they will suffer consequences sooner or later. My advice, pray for them. 🙂

I hope you enjoyed Will Smith’s quotes as much as I did! 🙂 ‘Til next time…

3-Day Quote Challenge: DAY 2

This is my second day for the quote challenge and the quotes that I am sharing with you today are from famous people who were also successful in their own fields of expertise.

Here we go…
Steve Jobs.JPG
I really like this routine of Steve Jobs. Why else should we keep on doing something that we don’t want to do? I know some of us may say “because we NEED to” but for me, that is the safest excuse we could make so that we do not feel so much guilty for not doing the things that we want to do. We should always look for opportunities that suit us- those that would make us happy. Otherwise, we die not living the life we’re meant to live.

John Lennon.JPG
As a 5 year old child, her mom always told John Lennon that happiness is the key to life. I say she did a great job for doing so! And I believe her. 🙂

Bruce Lee.JPG
I agree with Bruce Lee 101%. It’s human nature to get scared of anticipated outcomes and so sometimes, we settle to what’s safe and to what’s already working. We are afraid to move out of our comfort zone. But in doing so, we are putting limits to our potential and to what we can experience. For some, they use circumstances as excuse- “I don’t have enough time…” “I don’t have the money…”, “I did not graduate college…”, etc.

There are so much more that we can do in life and so much more that we can contribute to life if only we could master our fears, and trust more of what we can become.

I hope that you find the quotes inspiring and motivational. Have a great day everyone! 🙂

3-Day Quote Challenge: DAY 1

I want to say thank you to  # Age of Aquarius and Eva of Why  Not Happy Blog for tapping me in for this 3-Day Quote Challenge. I really enjoyed doing this!

Here is the first set of quotes that I would like to share all of you:

CS Lewis.JPG

I like this quote very much. I know that there are some people who find bliss in ignorance, or who prefer not knowing the truth to avoid pain and heartaches. But for me, knowing the truth sets us free! It could be painful, it could cost our trust and relationships, but it is also liberating! It liberates us from lying to people and to ourselves. It shows us real love and acceptance. Hence, it comforts us in the end. We may think that we are protecting people from pain if we’re keeping them in the dark, but it actually does the opposite.

Tony Robbins.JPG

I very much agree with Tony Robbins on this quote. We are not defined by our past experience. It is how we deal with our past that defines our future. I strongly believe that good things could come out even from the worst things that could happen. I am not Ms.Sunshine, but I choose to believe that we have choices, and it is our choices that makes who we are today.

Og Mandino.JPG

I definitely relate to what Og Mandino is saying here. A wake up reminder for me to stop procrastinating! it’s true that even the smartest plan is useless if we do not put it into action.

There you go ladies and gentlemen…I hope you liked my quotes today. I encourage every one to participate and do the challenge if you have time. You may find it really fun. I did! 🙂

Q & A PORTION:

Q: Share how you started your blog
A: It may sound cliche but I think that writing to provide inspiration to other people is why I started with my blog. I just asked a friend who knows more about blogging than I knew and then I started with my own. I wanted my blog to be about “happiness”…unfortunately, “the happy life” is not available so I have “thehappylife101” instead… I feel like the “101” makes it sound like a manual or sort of like that! 🙂

Q: Give a little bit of advice that new bloggers can take away.
A: Remember that not all people may like or agree with what you write, but this must not discourage you. Do not write to please others, otherwise, you’ll lose your purpose. Just write from the heart and respect your readers opinions. Also engage in the community by visiting, liking and commenting to other blogs. It will make it more fun and meaningful.

Q: When did you last cry in front of another person?
A: Last week when I watched “Train to Busan” hehehe

Q: What is the one thing you have tried but will never do again?                                                     A: Eat raw bitter melon or bitter gourd with marshmallow. I did that in a game we played on a teambuilding.

Q: Do you believe everyone needs a soulmate?
A: I’m not sure if everyone needs a soulmate but I like to believe that everyone has a soulmate.

Q: Have you ever succeeded when you thought you might fail?
A: When I was taking my licensure exam for professional teaching, my stomach is really hurting for some reason and I could not really concentrate 100%. I would not have been surprised if I have failed the exam, but luckily I passed! Yey! 🙂

Q: Do you consider yourself an extrovert or an introvert?
A: I’m more of an introvert. I’m not very outgoing and I am not the type who approach other people just to have conversation with them or make friends. But I am approachable. 🙂

MY QUESTIONS FOR YOU:
1. Describe your blog in one sentence.
2. If you could be the opposite sex in one day, what would you do?
3. What trait do you love most about your self?
4. Who is your favorite person in the world and why?
5. What do you want people would remember you for?
