Everyday is an Opportunity!

They say that opportunity knocks only once. But I do believe otherwise. Everyday, life gives us opportunities. It could come along as a wonderful experience such as promotion at work, becoming parents and raising a family, getting married, getting successful with the business, etc…but opportunities could also come along in a not-so-desirable package.

You see, many of us recognizes only the opportunities that are wrapped in beautiful packages. Many of us do not realize that even the undesirable experiences provides opportunities too. For example, failure provides opportunities to learn, to persevere and improve. Being hurt provides the opportunity for us to develop inner strength. Being helpless provides the opportunity for us to hope and strengthen our faith. Anger provides the opportunity for us to develop self-control and patience.

Everyday, life offers us a lot of opportunities. The only thing that we have to do is to live in the moment .

  3. Hi Nina, Great advice here, we often back-off from the hidden opportunities only to grasp at the pretty package. Life will force us to take the hidden opportunity to grow, develop skills and strengths we did not know we had or could do. ❤

I believe individual opportunities only come around once, but like Richard Branson says, “there’s always another opportunity around the corner.” it’s just a different opportunity. it’s important to have perspective so I agree with you that bad experiences can be opportunities in disguise. those are obviously a lot harder to recognize though, but it’s important we do recognize them. nice post Nina, haven’t talked to you in awhile, hope everything is good with you:)

    1. Aha! Excellent point you’ve got there! I like that you put emphasis on the other opportunities just being around the corner, and the opportunities from bad experience being harder to recognize. That’s a reality that perhaps most of us already know, but just fail to acknowledge somehow…it’s always nice to have an exchange with you like this, Vincent! Yeah it’s been quite a while…☺ I’m good and I hope you are too! ☺
